Hi - I’m Max (he/him), a first-year Political Science and Economics student living at Lodge. I’m running for Gen Rep at these student elections because I’m a big believer in a strong student representative body and currently I think ANUSA is falling short of what students should expect from their union.
Along with the main policy items for the Action! For ANUSA ticket (residents’ rights, save our social scene, and fight for funding) I have brought some of my own plans to improve student life and student rights on this campus. First is “Fuck Lodge”, which would be to improve living standards at UniLodge (a.k.a. health hazards are immediately fixed and Lodge residents get renter’s rights). Second is my policy on mental health, which would involve the ANUSA executive lobbying ANU management to fix ANU counselling so we don’t wait a month to see a counsellor.
