My name is Milli McDonald (she/her), and I am studying law/political science! I am running for the NUS because I believe in a solid connection to our national union. Our ability to collaborate with the NUS and engage with their national campaigns will be a big part of our university’s success in the future. The NUS is central to pushing the federal government to reform our sector. We face several systemic challenges after a decade of neglect, and ANU students’ voices and needs must be at the forefront of a national campaign. With a change of government, our sector has a chance to be heard and improved for the first time in a long while, and our advocacy will be crucial in making sure we make the most of this opportunity.
