Hi! My name is Dorcas Bugeme, and I’m running for a General Representative position for ANUSA on the Get Sh!t Done ticket. I am a first-year student studying a Bachelor of Politics, Philosophy and Economics & Bachelor of Languages. I am also currently living off-campus and am originally from Perth, WA. As a first-year, ANUSA initially seemed to be a foreign concept to me. However, over the course of the year, it has become notable how important an effective and impactful student union is. As a Gen Rep, my aim is to bridge the gap between ANUSA and the wider student body. By doing so, my goal is to ensure that student voices are actively being heard, and their concerns are addressed accordingly. Essentially, getting sh!t done.
